Rejection

I received my first rejection from a poetry journal. No point elaborating who it was and what they said. But it really did not upset me. Sure, I would've loved to be published, but I think I'm mature and civilised about these things now. They were polite and to the point and I thanked them for reading.

I'm proud of me.

well done for the blog and thanks for your visit to my blog Countdown To Pubication. Yes, as writers we face constant rejection but its great to find you getting success too! Keep going and look at all the many ways to get your work across - from helium.com to ezinearticles.com to many other online outlets plus anthologies and readings at a local group, for example. When you get rejected, just keep sending off and reading and writing more. Whoops, this has turned into an essay! Sorry!

getting published is nice. but doesn't matter much. idea is to write what you like, not what other person likes.
